Overview
The ESG & Sustainability Scores dataset provides comprehensive environmental, social, and governance ratings for over 15,000 publicly listed companies across global exchanges. Each company profile includes an overall ESG score, pillar scores (Environmental, Social, Governance), 30+ sub-category scores, carbon emission estimates (Scope 1, 2, 3), board diversity metrics, executive compensation ratios, and controversy flags.
Scores are calculated using a methodology combining reported company data (sustainability reports, proxy filings), alternative data signals (news sentiment, regulatory actions), and third-party certifications. Historical scores extend back to 2018 for trend analysis.
Used by asset managers integrating ESG into investment decisions, corporate sustainability teams benchmarking performance, regulatory compliance teams preparing ESG disclosures, and research firms studying the relationship between ESG factors and financial performance.
